You don't hear CDPR complain about sales of The Witcher 3 at all.
WHY IS DENUVO BAD PC
We know this is true because The Witcher 3 is DRM-free on PC and it sales like crazy. If Denuvo creates problems for running a game well on PC, then why would people support Denuvo?ĭenuvo isn't a good DRM solution and just because people can pirate a game, it doesn't mean they won't buy it. Again, the biggest selling games on PC don't use Denuvo. If Denuvo doesn't increase the sales of a game. Prey has been out for less than 2 weeks and its already being pirated. So, if Denuvo isnt stopping games from being pirated. They have a problem with Denuvo, which is overly intrusive. Issues that stopped people from buying the game on PC and console.įinally, people don't have a problem with DRM. Just look at a lot of the technical issues Just Cause 3 encountered.
So why is that? Because Denuvo can cause technical issues in games and it makes implementing mods, a major selling factor for a PC game, harder. After all, they where being pirated before the game was even officially released.īethesda could certainly afford Denuvo for Skyrim and Fallout, yet they didn't put it on those games.
If that was the case, Skyrim and Fallout 4 simply wouldn't be the biggest selling games on PC. So what does this mean? One thing it means is that piracy doesn't truly stop a game from selling. DRM that was hacked day 1, yet that didn't stop those games from being the biggest selling games on PC. You do realize that the biggest selling games on PC is Skyrim and Fallout 4, both of which just has standard DRM.
